Product FAQ generator for online stores
For any online store: find the questions shoppers ask about a product, see which ones your page already answers, and get a ready-to-paste FAQ.
Paste the address of one product page. The tool reads it once, as any visitor would, and shows each common question with the sentence from your page that answers it. You fill in the rest, and copy the FAQ.
It reads only the page you name, as any visitor would. We do not save the address or the page, and the answers you type stay in your browser.

What shoppers ask
Each answer from your page is filled in for you to keep or edit. Write the others in your own words: only what is true of this product.
Your FAQ
Plain text
HTML
FAQPage JSON-LD
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in its search results on May 7, 2026; since 2023 it had shown them only for well-known government and health sites. The markup can still help other software read your answers.
What the result means
The tool guesses a broad product type from the page's title, breadcrumb and product markup, and you can change it. Then you get one of three answers:
- Your page answers most of what shoppers ask: at least 80% of the questions for that type have an answer on the page.
- Your page answers N of M common questions: the questions without an answer are the ones to add, to the page and to the FAQ.
- This does not look like a product page: the page has no Product markup and nothing else that marks it as a product page.
A question counts as answered only when a sentence of the page's text, or a property in its Product markup, states the answer. The tool shows the exact words it found, at most 25 of them, so you can check each one. A sentence every page of your site shows, such as a shipping line in the header, can count too: keep it only if it is true of this product.
Your FAQ is built from the answers you keep, as plain text, as HTML (a simple list of questions that open to their answers) and as FAQPage JSON-LD. A question with an empty answer is left out of all three.
The questions it looks for
Every product type gets the same core questions: size or dimensions, what it is made of or its ingredients, how to use or care for it, who it is for and not for, what it works with, what is in the box, shipping, returns and warranty. Each type adds a few of its own:
- Apparel and shoes: fit and colors.
- Beauty and personal care: scent, how long one container lasts, and how long it keeps after opening.
- Food and drink: storage, how long it keeps, and where it is made.
- Home and furniture: assembly and how much weight it holds.
- Electronics and accessories: battery, charging and how it connects.
The questions ask for facts only, never for claims about what a product does for the body. Question set version 2026-10-21.1.
How SourceVision helps
A product FAQ answers the questions you can predict. SourceVision measures how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe your products, and proposes questions and answers for your product pages that you approve before anything changes on your store.

What should I put in a product FAQ?
The questions shoppers ask before they buy that kind of product, each with a short answer that starts with the fact: the size or dimensions, what it is made of, how to use or care for it, who it is for and who it is not for, what comes in the box, shipping, returns and warranty. Answer only what is true of this product.
How many questions should a product FAQ have?
There is no fixed number. Our guide suggests the four to six questions shoppers ask most about that product. This tool checks 9 to 12 common questions, depending on the product type, so you can choose the ones that matter for yours.
Where should the FAQ go on the product page?
As visible text on the page itself, close to the description, not only in an image, a pop-up or markup. Google's structured data guidelines say not to mark up content that readers cannot see, so put the questions and answers on the page first and add the markup second.
Does Google show FAQ results?
No longer. In August 2023 Google said it would show FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health websites. Google's documentation log says the FAQ rich result stopped appearing in Google Search on May 7, 2026. A visible FAQ still answers shoppers, and FAQPage markup that matches it is fine to keep.
Does this tool write the answers for you?
No. It fills in only what your page already states, and quotes the sentence or the markup each answer came from. You write the rest in your own words. It makes no AI call, and what you type stays in your browser.
